CODS 418 - Multi-Cultural Issues in Communication DisordersCredits 3

Involves the assessment and intervention of students from multicultural backgrounds with speech and/or language difficulties. Attention paid to developing 'cultural sensitivity' and an awareness of the cultural and bilingual influences on assessment and intervention decisions. CODS 422 - Neurogenic Communication DisordersCredits 3

CODS 429 - Clinical Practicum: Biola Speech/Language ClinicCredits 1-2

Supervised experience working with persons with communication disorders in the Biola Speech Clinic and offsite locations. Notes: May be taken for a total of 6 credits. Grade Mode: A.

Internship course in which students work under the supervision of a lincensed speech-language pathologist in order to gain experience in the field of speech-language pathology and earn hours that can be used to apply for a California Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant License.
