Hebrew (BLHE)

The purpose of these courses is to provide students with tools that will enable them to use the Hebrew languages in the study, interpretation, and exposition of the Word of God and to prepare students for future graduate studies.

Upon completion of 12 credits of Hebrew, it is intended that the student will be able to read and translate the original text with accuracy using a standard lexicon and grammar, explain basic grammatical and syntactical features of the text, exegete a biblical text accurately, and undertake individual research in biblical and related background material. Two years of Hebrew (BLHE 101BLHE 102BLHE 201, and BLHE 202) will fulfill the general education foreign language requirement.
