This course is designed to help train peer writing consultants, teaching assistants, embedded tutors, and other composition and literacy coaches (generally referred to below as "TA/tutors") at Biola and beyond. The Rhetoric Writing Center, the English Writing Program, and the English Language Program share a common set of composition pedagogy strategies and methodologies, and this streamlined practicum-based course is an effective way to prepare all of our TA/tutors, while also providing students with an opportunity to develop pedagogic and mentorship skills for their academic and professional careers beyond Biola.
