This is an introductory course designed to build basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) by focusing on the cultural content, vocabulary and grammar necessary to develop inter-cultural communicative competence at an intermediate low proficiency level. Lecture/Lab Hours: Five hours each week. Core Curriculum: Approved for Core - Foreign Language. Note(s): Students desiring to enroll in German should do so during the freshman and sophomore years; it is impossible to complete Core Curriculum requirements (Bachelor of Arts degree) if the student starts in the senior year.
